QuietSky

Passive drone detection. Detect drones before they reach the fence, without transmitting a thing.

Drones are cheap, small and easy to fly. Most sites only find out one was there after it has gone.

Most counter-drone systems emit, jam or need a licence. Many of the sites that need protection can use none of them.

QUIET

Quick UAS Identification and Early Tracking. UAS means unmanned aircraft systems: drones. A network of passive sensors around a perimeter, combined into one live picture.

Each sensor takes a bearing. Where they agree, QUIET places the aircraft.

Plan view: three passive sensors around a protected site take bearings that cross at an unknown aircraft. A registered aircraft is shown separately. How it works

  • SenseDrone radio links, the identity signals many drones broadcast by law and crewed air traffic. Cameras and microphones cover drones that fly without a radio link.
  • CombineIndependent observations are checked against each other and merged into tracks with a position and a history, so one drone is one alert.
  • ShowA live map for operators, registered aircraft kept apart from everything else, and a record of every event.

Detection only.

QuietSky never transmits, jams or interferes with any signal. No transmitter licence to apply for, no risk of disrupting radio, navigation or communications, and nothing on the air that gives the system away.

Three ways to deal with a drone

Telecommunications mast against a twilight sky
Other systemsJammersStops the aircraft. Transmits at power, needs a licence, disturbs radio and comms nearby, and shows the pilot where it is.
Radar tower silhouetted at sunset
Other systemsRadarFinds anything that flies, link or no link. Still transmits, usually under licence, and sees a blip rather than an aircraft.
Camera on a mast against a cloudy sky
QuietSkyListen and lookQuietSky never transmits. No licence, nothing disturbed, nothing for the pilot to find. It identifies the aircraft and tells you where it is. It does not stop it.

Your site, your data.

  • On siteRuns on your own infrastructure, with no cloud dependency.
  • OfflineWorks in isolated networks, maps included.
  • SecuredAuthenticated sensors, encrypted links, operator roles and a full audit log.
  • ScalableFrom one sensor at a small facility to a full perimeter network.

Built for

Electrical substation at dusk
Power and utilitiesSubstations and plants where nothing may interfere with the site's own radio and control systems.
Prison watchtower and razor wire
PrisonsWalls that drones cross with deliveries. Staff need to know one is coming, and from where, before it arrives.
Industrial plant lit at night
Industrial plantsRefineries, chemical and process sites where the airspace above the fence is part of the perimeter.
Stadium seen from above at night
Stadiums and eventsCrowds, live broadcast and a perimeter that exists only for the day.

What comes next

  • Civil sitesCritical infrastructure and commercial operators.
  • DefenceA hardened, isolated variant that works with allied systems.
  • MobileSensors that move, extending coverage beyond fixed positions.
